EXECUTIVE SEARCH

KNiON was tasked with finding a CEO for a disruptive, early-stage Edtech startup. We had previously worked with the founder to build their leadership team, and the organisation remains one of our close partners, having gone from a concept to a team of 40 during that period.

KNiON was approached by AnyVan to conduct a search for a General Manager position in their new South African base. Utilising prior search insights, KNiON quickly assembled a shortlist of four high-calibre candidates within the first week. By the second week, three of these candidates had reached the final interview stage, and by week three, the project was successfully concluded.

The search focused on finding a Vice President (VP) of Sales to replace a recently departed leader at Newcross Healthcare Solutions. Initially, the role was defined as finding a sales leader with experience on marketplace platforms. However, midway through the process, the brief was altered to incorporate a broader focus on sales, operations, and enablement to support the sales team and Chief Revenue Officer. Later, the brief shifted back to a sales-centric role. This constant evolution made it difficult to pinpoint the precise requirements.

KNiON was asked to conduct thorough research and build a comprehensive list of 50 companies operating in the industry. This insight was shared with Newcross, who then engaged KNiON to carry out a full executive search for a Chief Operating Officer (COO) for their Business Unit (BU).
